Our Associates
Ed Bee,
CEcD
Ed Bee is founder and President. Prior to founding the company
in 1997, Bee led economic development programs in Louisiana, Texas,
Oklahoma and Georgia, including the largest regional ED group
in Louisiana. Bee has worked personally on over 50 office and
factory projects during his 24 years in the economic development
field. Among his career accomplishments are the development and
passage of payroll based incentive programs in Louisiana and Oklahoma.
Bee has recently published papers nationally on cutting edge topics
like technology-led economic development and globalization.

David Kolzow,
PhD
Dr. David Kolzow pioneered the concept of strategic planning in
economic development. He has personally completed over 50 strategic
plans in communities throughout the United States. Few onsulting
firms have personnel with his depth and breadth of background.
Dr. Kolzow wrote Strategic Planning for Economic Development,
the most comprehensive "how to" textbook on the subject
of strategic planning for development groups that was published by the International Economic Development
Council. Dr. Kolzow is also at the forefront on outcome-based
performance measurement for economic development organizations
and sustainable economic development concepts.

Charlotte Batson
Charlotte Batson, an Associate with Taimerica, is an Energy Analyst and was appointed to the Mississippi Energy Policy Institute (MEPI) in 2009 by Gov. Haley Barbour. She edits and produces Taimerica-SBS Alternative Energy News, a monthly publication with a nationwide distribution. She has expertise in Economic Development issues in energy development, carbon capture and sequestration, energy markets, and both Alternative and Renewable Energy sources in addition to the more traditional petroleum- or carbon-based sources. Ms. Batson, who spent five years at the Center for Community and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi, has experience in a wide variety of economic development projects, particularly for communities with populations under 40,000. These projects range from strategic planning workshops and retail studies to community development to the development of highly technical digital tools. Ms. Batson also has professional experience in petroleum exploration, in defense contracting, and in health care.

Lorraine Roach
Lorraine Roach has 25+ years of experience in rural economic and tourism development and downtown revitalization. Her clients include numerous communities, businesses, development organizations, trade associations, tribes, states and multi-state coalitions in the United States and Europe. Ms. Roach understands the extraordinary assets and unique challenges of rural communities, whose economies are transitioning to New Economy businesses and value-added industries, including tourism. Ms. Roach is certified by the National Main Street Center/National Trust for Historic Preservation, and is a member of the Tourism Industry Association (TIA) and International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

Ardyn
Thriffiley, CEcD
Ardyn Thriffiley has spent 15 years in the field of research and
marketing. Ms. Thriffiley spent many years with Entergy Louisiana's
Economic Development Group where she established a research center
containing resources used in the site selection decision making
process including the AEDC award winning web site, a web-based
searchable database of available buildings and sites, parish and
community profiles, marketing materials on key resources in Louisiana
communities, and research and analysis of target industries for
Louisiana.
