Are Retailers Buying Your Retail Program?
Economic developers didn't pay much attention to retailing until the beginning of the 21st century. Many now have launched efforts to court retailing to enhance the community's quality of life and to augment retail sales tax collections, a growing source of public revenue since the 1980s. But most of these programs are failing to deliver results because they ignore the fundamental equation of retail: "My retail neighbors are as important to me as the size of the market."

Taimerica Quality Jobs Program Cited as Success by Gov. Blunt of Missouri
Taimerica research pioneered the Quality Jobs program, originally passed in the state of Missouri in 2005.
